UNIVERSITY RESUME - JAY O'CALLAHAN

 

Bloomsburg University led a three-hour  creativity workshop for honors and English students.  2004

University of Michigan School of Art and Design  As a Penny W. Stamps Distinguished Visitor, Jay O'Callahan performed for the college community, and led workshops in a sound class.  2003

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga  performed Pouring the Sun and led workshops in a Social Research Methods class and a Performance class.  2002

East Tennessee State University   taught a four day course called "The Craft of Storytelling" at the Storytelling Institute.   2002

Clemson University  led a workshop for the Calhoun Honors College and performed Father Joe.    2001

Rivier College   performed his dramatic piece, Pouring the Sun,  and conducted a workshop for students and faculty.   2001

Kutztown University  performed at the university's Performance Diversity week.   Jay O'Callahan also led a workshop for graduate education students.   2001

Spring Arbor University  performed and discussed the power of story.  2001

Union College performed The Spirit of the Great Auk, and led a workshop for the students and faculty.   1999

Lehigh University  commissioned Jay O'Callahan to write and perform Pouring the Sun, a drama piece about the Bethlehem Steel community.   1999

Cornell University  performed his environmental story, The Spirit of the Great Auk.   1998

Simmons College  told The Spirit of the Great Auk for participants in the Environnet program.  1998

Brown University   performed The Spirit of the Great Auk  for Environmental Economics students.   1996

College of the Holy Cross  commissioned Jay O'Callahan to write and perform Father Joe.    He performed at the college in Fenwick Theatre each year for a ten year period. 1994 

University of Missouri St. Louis   performed as well as participated in a National Video Conference.  1994

University of Massachusetts, Boston  gave the keynote at the university's Critical and Creative Thinking Program.  1993 

St. Cloud University   gave the keynote for The Art and Uses of Storytelling, and Educational Conference, as well as led two workshops and give a performance of The Dance.   1993

Kenyon College   performed The Herring Shed and led a workshop.  1984

Lesley Graduate School of Education taught a course entitled The Art and Uses of Storytelling  1980-1983

Boston College performed  The Herring Shed and  led a workshop. 

Northwestern University Theatre & Interpretation  visited the university three times to perform and lead workshops.

Harvard University  performed The Strait of Magellan for the university's theme, History as Literature.  

Oberlin College visited the college on three separate occasions to perform and lead workshops.
