World War II comes home to a Nova Scotia fishing village. The Herring Shed is the story of 14-year old Maggie Thomas' keen observations of her own struggles and fears and of her Nova Scotian village of World War II. The characters include the village rector whom no one wants to see because he brings news of deaths in the war. This was recorded at a live concert.
